Well today i'm feeling kinda lazy so i'll let you do all the work .....
today's post showcases one of my favorite illustrator the great Gustaf Tenggren .An easy google search for you to discover who the man was .
But i do feel that today's post is more about why i think it's important to keep on buying "real books" instead of "ebooks" . keeping it real is the idea right !? .......To help on that matter and sort of prove my point, if i may , i'll use quotes from one of my personal heroes the great JW
i was fortunate enough to talk to the great John Waters 3 times here in Sf while riding MUNI [SF public transportation]..yes,John is taking the bus like all of us and is a nice guys to boot .here are some of my favorite quotes from him and it's all about books ....
“It wasn't until I started reading and found books they wouldn't let us read in school that I discovered you could be insane and happy and have a good life without being like everybody else"
“Being rich is not about how much money you have or how many homes you own; it's the freedom to buy any book you want without looking at the price and wondering if you can afford it.”
“You should never read just for "enjoyment." Read to make yourself smarter! Less judgmental. More apt to understand your friends' insane behavior, or better yet, your own. Pick "hard books." Ones you have to concentrate on while reading. And for god's sake, don't let me ever hear you say, "I can't read fiction. I only have time for the truth." Fiction is the truth, fool! Ever hear of "literature"? That means fiction, too, stupid.”
and my all time favorite of course :“We need to make books cool again. If you go home with somebody and they don't have books, don't fuck them.” ― John Waters
