they were made by the American hard rubber company under contract with the Navy

Nicely faded on the sleeves and shoulders like a good ol' pair of denims 

After the post i've made in june of this year , i've never thought i'll be able to find another example of the first CPO ,but i did this week end .This incredible find was lost in a pile of shirts from the Warner bros studios used as civil war yank's shirts.....

after 2 years of work ,worn only once a week and washed only twice.....
